Hope in Action for Haiti supports agricultural associations in the 4th section of the Gros-Morne commune to help families find ways to care for their children. We work with local associations that guide us toward the community's real needs. These associations help us develop better work plans that reflect the community's realities. These plans can contribute to the community's sustainable development and thus deliver concrete results that address the current and future challenges faced by families.

The agro-reforestation program has two components. The first is an agricultural component that supports farmers in their efforts to cultivate fields to provide for their families and contribute to community development. This component focuses on supporting families who depend entirely on agriculture. Agriculture provides food for the family and income for other needs such as school fees, clothing, transportation, and more. The second component focuses on protecting land and watersheds through tree planting. It also serves to protect the environment.
Between 2024 and 2026, we supported over 55 families through our projects.
We distributed:
- 2,600 coffee seedlings
- 496 orange seedlings
- 400 cacao seedlings
- 300 papaya seedlings.
To these 55 families, we have already distributed 3,796 seedlings. We hope to distribute 5,000 seedlings per year and support families in planting beans and pistachios, which are a source of food and income for them.
To support a family or to plant fruit and forest trees, please consider making a donation.
